Seriously model worthy. I cannot wait to have a warm, beautiful day to cash in the raincheck!
Sometimes on days like these, i think i must have the best job in the world. I get to drive to a photoshoot with Mount Ranier in view. Which is/was breathtaking. ( so much so, i was very very tempted to keep going, and spend the rest of the day hiking on trails, photographing landscapes, and being at peace, luckily for my family i decided to come home.) I get to meet cool/beautiful/awesome people. Such as Martha and Daryl and their gorgeous lil ones. I get front row tickets to a piano concert by the cutest lil girl ( who also had eyes only for her daddy, who was cheering her on), i get to capture beautiful moments of Mother and son. Father and daughter. I get to capture families. See, days like these are why i do what i do!
Thank you for the piano concerts, hayrides and spectacular scenery. But most importantly thank you for letting me spend the day with you.

I knew that we were going to have fun the first time i spoke with Brooke. She wanted a place that was unique, fun, and was up for trying anything. Her only wish….was to capture her family. Her hubby, Jeremy, was home from Iraq for his R&R, and i feel so so so privledged that they took some of that time to spend with me. Also, so so happy with mother nature for providing us with a glorious sunny day. (Thank you) And even happier with the fierce modeling skills of this family. Seriously! They totally rocked this shoot. Dad was the handsome, quite and stoic type, their son so fun and totally abercrombie model worthy ( well in a few years), their beautiful daughter, was just that, absolutely beautiful, and mom….all i need to say is WOW! Seriously, wow! Project runway alum coined the phrase fierce….but Brooke totally owns the word. Because lady you are so fierce! Can’t wait to capture you on skates….
Thank you Brooke & Jeremy for bringing your family out to be captured in photos…
P.s thank you Jeremy for all that you do.

Have you ever asked yourself what is there to do on a Saturday afternoon, when the hubby and middle child are away…have you ever wished you could put off chores ( ie housework) and have a day of fun. Well this is what that day might look like. Last minute, we ( meaning myself and my beautiful daughter Miss Z and my cutey patootie son…sporting his crew cut Lil T) decided to tag along with our wonderful friends to our neighborhood Science Museum. Lucky for my 2 year old lil man, there was a dinosaur exhibit, featuring actual moving dinosaurs, however, though it was pretty cool ( if i do say so myself) he was 100% more interested in the museums water play area. Go figure right, i could have saved some money and set up his water table at home ( then again, 30 degree weather, probably isn’t the best time for outdoor water play) Miss Z had lots of fun in the Mars exhibit, even getting to find out what it would be like to walk on Mars, while her brother got to kick back and watch a video of a mars walk while laying down….the high life, right? While i would have to say that hands down, my favorite experience was walking in the butterfly enclosure, the butterflies were breathtaking, i could have brought a book and just sat there all day, in complete peace. Butterflies have to be one the most beautiful creatures ever….I mean ever! Miss Z even got the wonderful gift of one landing on her, and she had the nerve to let out a scream, or rather a really loud “eek”. This is the same girl, that i have seen pick up snakes and other various insects…caterpillars being one of the them…yet “eeks” at a butterflies. I suppose this might be one of life’s mysteries, the inner workings of a child’s mind. None the less, our adventure was such a wonderful break from a normal Saturday at home. Thanks Miss I and Miss J for taking us with you.

This was the perfect session. The whole week before was rain and more rain. I woke up that morning to cloudy skies. And immediately started hoping. wishing. praying for a break in the weather, for beautiful sun rays to appear…and my hopes, prayers and wishes were answered. As i drove to their house, the clouds parted, the sun began to peak through. And all i could think was….yes. yes. yes. ( and of course a huge thank you) The drive was beautiful…the morning was beautiful…..and this family was beautiful. The T family was just so loving, so caring towards one another that there inner light just came shining through. Mom was so patient, and ever so sweet trying to help her beautiful lil one fall asleep, i have a picture of her holding her, sshhhhing as if it were a lullaby, while Dad and Mr.M patiently waited for there turn and watched Curious George. ( i so heart Curious George.) Of course that sweet lil lady, had other plans than to sleep while we took pictures. ( already starting to voice her preferences) And she sure made us work for every shot…but it was well worth it. She is such a sweet lil girl. We ended the session outside, letting Mr.M get out some of that 2 year old energy, not to mention mom and dad…..and wouldn’t you know it….lil miss M decided to sleep. Thank you Stephanie for introducing me to this beautiful family. And thank you Mike and Kristin for letting me into your world for a brief moment to capture you in photos.
